Nicola Holdcroft
Owner of Orenna in Victoria Square
Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
"I understand that it can be daunting to choose a therapist online before meeting in person so let me share a little information that may help you in your search.

I believe that effective therapy is not "a one size fits all" approach and your individual needs are always a priority here. I understand that life can be challenging & during your sessions you will find an understanding and confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and experiences. Talking therapy can help you to overcome pain from past events and relieve the symptoms of mental health issues.

The foundation of our work together is underpinned by establishing a high quality therapeutic relationship. This enables us to work together in a way that is professional & safe. My aim is to support you while you work out a way forward by offering a non-judgmental space where the focus is on you.

As well as in Private Practice at Orenna, I have experience of working for a local Hospice Bereavement Counselling Service, the NHS Staff Counselling Service, (as a volunteer and on contract), A Domestic Violence Service, Private companies, Occupational Health Programs, Local Authority & EAPs.

I have a great deal of experience working with clients in senior leadership roles & I have a special interest in working with clients navigating the peri-menopause, and those struggling with stress, anxiety or low self confidence. I also work with students who are at University, in person or on Zoom who are experiencing educational/social distress.

I am an Integrative Therapist. My therapeutic qualification is in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. This means nothing more than I can use a variety of different therapeutic techniques to enable us to work through your therapy goals together. I am proactive and solution focused"
