Verity Smith

Founder of Orenna

Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor

"I started Orenna as my passion is helping people to understand and overcome their mental health challenges. I enjoy working together with my clients to help them make positive change in their life and also to help them understand themselves better.

I have Masters degrees in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and Clinical Psychological Research as well as an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a post graduate qualification in Clinical Supervision. My role is to use my knowledge to help clients live happier and more fulfilled lives.

I have worked within hospices, schools and private settings as a psychotherapist and therefore have extensive experience working with adults, young people and couples across a range of ages.

I think it's important to be authentic and therefore my relationships with my clients are open and honest. I provide a safe space for my clients to make positive change"

South Staffordshire

Our South Staffordshire offices are based within beautiful open countryside near Stafford and Penkridge and close to Cannock Chase. The business village consists of a series of old farm buildings that have been converted into inviting office spaces with plenty of parking on site.

The Orenna office itself has been designed to be welcoming, comfortable, and a place that you would want to spend time in.

North Staffordshire

Our North Staffordshire offices are based in a beautiful victorian building near Stoke on Trent.

The offices have been recently renovated to provide a warm and comfortable atmosphere for our clients.

The offices have parking outside the premises and are also easily accessible by public transport.

Psychotherapeutic Counsellor

"The foundation of my work is underpinned by establishing a high quality therapeutic relationship with my clients. This enables us to work together in a way that is safe and supportive to help you to identify and action the desired changes in your life.

As well as Private Practice, I have experience of working in a local hospice bereavement counselling service, the NHS Staff Counselling Service, as a volunteer and on contract, and a domestic violence service.

My background is in Human Resources Management and I maintain strong links with business to the present day. I have many years experience in business/career mediation and coaching from Board Director level to middle management. I have a special interest in working with women through the peri/menopause.

My therapeutic qualification is in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and I work as an Integrative therapist. This means that I employ a variety of therapeutic techniques to enable us to work through your therapy goals together.

Through my work and life experience,  I understand that we all get stuck from time to time and my aim is to support you while you work out a way forward by offering an empathetic, supportive space where the focus is on you"
